My Manuscript Is Done

My manuscript is done! I can’t wait to tell you what it’s about, why I wrote it and to share the illustrations with you.

Funny story. I wrote this on an airplane. It was March 2nd, 2020. I flew with some colleagues to Florida for a conference. When we landed, we were told the conference was canceled (“out of an abundance of caution”) and to head home. We had lunch, then took the next flight back.

On the way home, I wrote the first draft. It kinda just flowed out of me. Mostly because I already knew what I wanted to say. I had been thinking about it for two months, knowing it was just a matter of time - or a spare minute - to get it out. Of course, it then takes a bit of time to play with it, refine it, change it, change it back, sit on it, revisit it, hate it, love it, then complete it. You know, the #ArtisticProcess.

Now it’s done, and I couldn’t be happier with the final product. It’s everything that I hoped it would be and more, and I can’t wait to share it all with you - stay tuned.
